Strawberry Syngonium
Granddaddy George loved strawberries so much that he grew his own mini strawberry patch in his own backyard. His grandchildren would often pick the ripe ones and eat them straight from the ground...
Botanical Name: Syngonium podophyllum
Strawberry syngoniums thrive in medium to bright indirect light but can handle low light. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf burn, especially on variegated leaves; morning and afternoon sun can be gentler. Maintain even moisture by watering regularly in spring and summer, allowing the soil to partially dry between waterings. These plants prefer humid environments and well-draining soil mixed with materials like pumice or perlite for optimal growth. Keep temperatures between 60–80°F (15–27°C) to ensure they thrive, avoiding drops below 50°F (10°C).
Your plant will arrive in a 4" diameter plastic grower's pot with drainage holes; pot color may vary. Heights typically range from 4 to 8 inches tall. Decorative pots shown in images are not included.
